Online Milk Kefir Workshop
Everything you need to know to help you to make and manage our own Milk KefirAbout this experience
In this online workshop, you will find out everything you need to know to help you make and manage your own milk kefir. We’ll look at what vessels to use, what milks work best, I’ll show you examples of what you can expect to see. We’ll talk about the origins of kefir, and the evidence for its health benefits, as well as looking at how we can use it, and of course troubleshooting.
There’s an option to purchase kefir grains which will be sent before the workshop, if you don’t have some already. If you’ve a friend who’s already making kefir ask them to give you some – you just need a teaspoonful.
The session will last for 60-90 minutes depending on how how many questions there are, and will be recorded so you can come back to it whenever you need.
Your Host

I’m Caroline Gilmartin and Every Good Thing is my little enterprise through which I teach people how to make fermented foods and explain why they might want to. I’ve a PhD in microbial genetics and have been fermenting for getting on for 20 years now, firstly to improve my health, thereafter because microbes are amazing. I used to have a fermentary, but prepping all those vegetables gave me tennis elbow, so now I share my expertise through workshops and demos. I’ve written two books on the subject; fermented foods a practical approach and Vinegar; the complete guide to making your own and I am an advisory board member for the Fermenter’s Guild. I live in Bristol with my husband and Minty the cat, and like DIY, crochet, whittling things and my garden.
